Sebastian Arrhenius

I am an independent photographer and visual artist based between Europe and Asia. With five years of art education, I approach photography as both documentation and artistic expression.

My work focuses primarily on street photography, travel, urban environments, architecture, people, transportation, and everyday life. I am particularly interested in authentic places and situations that reveal something about society, culture, work, and the way people live. Rather than concentrating only on famous landmarks, I often look for overlooked details, ordinary neighborhoods, industrial environments, and moments that feel genuine.

I have photographed extensively throughout Asia and other parts of the world, including Thailand, Hong Kong, mainland China, Malaysia, and Eastern Europe. My portfolio includes editorial photography, travel images, cityscapes, documentary-style work, and photographs suitable for commercial licensing.

My background in painting and fine art strongly influences the way I work with composition, light, color, atmosphere, and visual storytelling. I aim to create technically strong images while maintaining a personal, human, and sometimes unconventional perspective.

I primarily use professional Sony full-frame camera equipment, together with a DJI drone and an Osmo Action camera. I am also expanding my equipment with a smaller Fujifilm camera for more discreet and spontaneous street photography. I carefully edit and prepare my images for both editorial and commercial licensing.

Although I occasionally accept professional assignments, I prefer to work independently rather than follow a strictly directed approach. Maintaining creative freedom allows me to preserve the curiosity, spontaneity, and playfulness that are central to my photography. My goal is to build a diverse collection that is useful to designers, publishers, media organizations, and other creative professionals while still reflecting my own artistic vision.
